Born in a village in West Bengal, India, Biku Ghosh worked as a specialist surgeon in the U.K. for more than 40 years. In his “spare” time he traveled spent 65 years visiting more than 75 countries in all seven continents; he even worked as a volunteer in 12 of those countries.
His latest book, Around the World in 65 Years is a fascinating account of his travels that took him plunging into Antarctic water, giving away a proxy daughter in a North Pole wedding, climbing Kilimanjaro and swimming with the giant whale shark.
