Looking to enjoy the fall foliage and all the activities that fall brings? Here are three locations where you can get your fall fix:

◼︎ Loudoun County in northern Virginia is a perfect place to explore the county’s six wine clusters. Among the best spots for viewing nature are Bears Den Trail & Overlook, Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park and Algonkian Regional Park. For thrill seekers, zip through the trees at the Empower Adventures at Salamander Resort & Spa or go to Harpers Ferry Adventure Center for off-road Segway tours or climb high in the aerial adventure park.

◼︎ Northeast  Indiana is a budget-friendly destination to experience the Midwest in the fall. Go to Fort Wayne’s 605-acre Fox Island Park and the Foellinger-Freimann Botanical Conservatory to admire the native maples in its fall glory. Hike at the Bicentennial Woods, 15 miles of Fort Way and enjoy Promenade Park, the city’s most disability-inclusive park.

  • ◼︎Chickasaw Country is located in the south-center part of Oklahoma and there are a wealth of places to view the fall foliage. Try horse backing riding through Lake Murray’s nature trails or bike around Veteran’s Lake. The Lake of the Arbuckles offers a moment of serenity where visitors can watch as the colorful foliage from the nearby native hardwoods flutter down to the water’s edge. Turner Falls takes you deep into the Arbuckle Mountains where the fall foliage is reflected in the pools below. Don’t forget to stop off for an authentic Chickasaw experience at the Canadian River Company and Rusty Nail Winery.
